Placing calls is easy as well, simply select your buddy and MediaCentral will put you in-touch. For your convenience the Skype feature will automatically load when MediaCentral starts. Just set up skype in the MediaCentral Preferences and you're off! See all your buddies and more From the comfort of MediaCentral you can easily view all of your Skype buddies and even place calls from within MediaCentral. As your buddies change their status it will be displayed as well. All of your friends will be shown - including the invisible ones - making it easier for you to get in touch with them. Live Online Television Feeds View live television streams from all over the world - in high quality and always up to date. IP TV MediaCentral supports a variety of online TV Streams from all corners of the globe. Navigating by Language, MediaCentral includes numerous pre-loaded IP TV stations from almost anywhere. My IP TV As the IP TV component of "My MediaCentral", this is where you will be able to store and access all your personal IP TV content. If you create a folder structure within the "My IP TV" folder, it is easily navigated within MediaCentral. Just drop in the links of your favorite shows and access your favorite IP TV streams your way with "My IP TV". Online Clips Stop searching and start tuning in to some of the most popular clips on the Internet. From Google to Youtube! After scouring the web for great video clips, we have incorporated many of the most popular media clips from Google Video, Youtube and many more. Just open up MediaCentral and explore the videos. And don't worry: The lists are automatically updated so that you won't miss a clip! The Tube Tunings within MediaCentral Not only can MediaCentral display numerous video formats, but also recordings that have been taken with The Tube. As already known, navigate through your archive with your Apple Remote and display the saved information of the program via mouse click. Know what's on For those using a supported DVB-T device, MediaCentral offers you an electronic program guide (EPG). Know exactly what's on, what will be on and even get the latest program information. MediaCentral's TV category has you covered. Use your favorite remote MediaCentral is all about experience. TV program at a Glance By choosing a progam MediaCentral shows information about the current and upcoming program as well as the signal strength. Additional information of the running program displays MediaCentral by pressing the i-key. Who would need a TV-guide? MediaCentral integrates The Tube channel lists Two applications, one channel list - this is how the organization of your TV channels can be described. Everybody who has already created channel lists within The Tube is now able to organize the channel list of MediaCentral coexistantly. Both applications use the same lists. DVB-T Availability As Digital TV continues to grow in popularity, its reach is expanding to numerous countries all around the globe. Timeshifted TV In order to stop the current program within MediaCentral, you only need to either hit the spacebar or the play/pause-button on the Apple Remote to pause and continue watching the running program (Timeshift). Plus you can rewind within the Timeshift-buffer to take a closer look at interesting scenes. Enjoy Your Favorite Movies in any Format Watch movie files at the push of a button. Whatever your favorite movie format is - MediaCentral has it all. DVDs are only the beginning Sure, MediaCentral plays your DVDs and VIDEO_TS folders. MediaCentral now supports external Windows Media plug-ins. Simply install the plug-in and MediaCentral will use it. iTune your Videos Access your favorite iTunes videocasts from MediaCentral's movie menu. Whatever you are into, cartoons, technology, medicine, or anything for that matter, you now have complete access to all your saved videocasts directly from MediaCentral. Subtitles via SRT If you have media that has an associated SRT file, you can enable and disable subtitles with the touch of a button - actually the "s" key. Just be sure that both the movie and the SRT file are in the same location with the same name and the proper extension. My Movies As the movie component of "My MediaCentral", this is where you will be able to store and access all your local and network video content. If you create a folder structure within the "My Movies" folder, it can easily be navigated when using the "My Movies" section. Access your movies your way with "My Movies". Movie trailers on demand You now have instant access to the most current movie trailers, some of them available in HD (up to 1080i). This ever-expanding list will keep you up-to-date with the latest previews. You can even view the movie posters as you scroll through the countless movie trailers. Access VIDEO_TS folders on your local computer or local network Whether they are stored locally or in your network - VIDEO_TS folders can be easily linked into MediaCentral. VIDEO_TS are essentially backups of DVDs, you will find these films in MediaCentral's DVD menu. Dolby® Digital Surround Sound MediaCentral now also supports Dolby® Digital Surround sound output from DVDs. So if you have a digital receiver hooked up to your Mac, you can now enjoy the best sound possible out of your DVDs. Even More Control Play, Pause, Skip, rewind or even adjust the playback speed of any DVD or VIDEO_TS files you are viewing. MediaCentral makes it easy to slow things down or really speed up your movies playback - from 1/8 to to 32 times the original playback speed. DVD Options Menu Settings for sound, as well as for audio tracks, subititles and angles can be changed either via shortcuts on the keyboard or within the new DVD Options Menu that elegantly fades in over the screen while watching a movie. It also brings you back to the DVD menu or the MediaCentral main menu. Stop and Go Even if you quit MediaCentral and turn off your Mac, MediaCentral will remember where you left off that exciting DVD. So if it's time to go to work, school or just a short bathroom break - MediaCentral has you covered. My DVDs As the DVD component of "My MediaCentral", this is where you will be able to store and access all your local and network DVD content (VIDEO_TS folders). If you create a folder structure within the "My DVDs" folder, it can easily be navigated in the My DVDs section. Access your DVDs your way with "My DVDs". New perspectives MediaCentral fully supports multi-angle DVDs. If you wanna be a bird - choose your preferred camera perspective with a single keystroke! Flash Games for your enjoyment The game section of MediaCentral is a great place to visit if you would like an interactive stress-relief. Alien Invaders, Astroblast, Ping and Snake are the first to appear in this category but keep an eye on this category as we do plan on adding more... Tune into iTunes In addition to a simple navigation, MediaCentral gives you the option to play all tunes from your iTunes library - direct access to your playlists and categories included. Even DRM protected songs from the iTunes Store can be played (as long as the iTS account for these songs is activated on your computer). Your music isn't stored in iTunes? MediaCentral to the rescue: It plays music from your iPod, your local harddrive or even your network. MediaCentral supports MP3, AAC, M4A, AIFF and WAV audio codecs. Covers, just for you! Your track's cover is displayed as each track is played. This is done via a direct link to iTunes so if you don't see the cover - just use CoverScout to cover your tracks. Choose "A" playback mode Whether you like your playlist shuffled, repeated, or normal, "A" tap of the "A" key will do this for you. You also have the ability to repeat a specific track in addition to the other playback modes listed above. My Music As the Music component of "My MediaCentral", this is where you will be able to store and access all your local and network Music content. This is done completely independent of iTunes. Just create a folder and drop in your favorite tunes (or aliases). If you create a folder structure within the "My Music" folder, it is easily navigated in the "My Music" section of MediaCentral. Access your Music your way with "My Music". Music Videos are here as well MediaCentral's online content function gives you access to some of the greatest music videos. From Alicia Keys to Warren Zevon, MediaCentral has you covered. You can also expect this list to grow just like all of MediaCentral's online content. So sit down, tune into the "Music" category and enjoy. Intelligent iTunes integration MediaCentral will automatically display and import all of your music videos stored in iTunes.
