CoverScout
You have the Music, Now get the Covers
|
|
Every hero needs a sidekick! CoverScout adds a bit of flavor to your iTunes library and finishes up where iTunes left off.

Search, Find or Shoot
In order to find that perfect cover, CoverScout searches through Google Images and the Amazon site of your choice. Even if you can't find what you're looking for on the web, you can just use your iSight camera to snap shots of those homemade or hard to find covers.
iPhone, Apple TV and iPod have a new best-friend
CoverScout works with iPhone, Apple TV and iPod. No matter which one you're using - CoverScout is the right companion.
Add Multiple Covers at the Same Time
CoverScout can handle multiple searches for cover art simultaneously. It doesn't just search for them at once, but it also adds them at the same time, with just one click. It's that easy.
Singles, Albums and Compilations
CoverScout flexibly looks for all your missing covers - no matter if the title you're looking for is a single, a maxi-single, part of an album or a compilation. You can split-up the search for artists and albums, and get the results you need.

iPhone Ready
With the new iPhone, Apple is not just revolutionizing mobile Internet and mobile communication, but also the way you can browse through your music collection on your iPod. Using the wide display touch screen, you can search through your entire music collection with just one finger - just pick the album you want, flip the cover over and select the songs you want to hear.
The current release of CoverScout is fully compatible with the iTunes library and therefore works with the iPhone.
AppleTV Ready
Even with Apple's first footstep into the living room, missing artwork is a peeve. Apple TV shows the artwork of the current selected music title - but what when there's nothing to display? CoverScout fills in the gap.
As Apple TV also gets its content out of the iTunes library, you can seamlessly use CoverScout to add missing cover art for use on your new your Apple TV.
iPod Ready
The iPod was the first device to benefit from the ability to show cover art. When Apple integrated a search for cover art in iTunes 7, it was limited to the iTunes Store. CoverScout became the first choice for all music lovers that had the urge and desire to cover their entire music library beyond those covers stocked by the iTunes Music Store.
Intelligent Interface
CoverScout offers the slick and intuitive interface that you have come to expect from equinux software. CoverScout's interface now includes a column (next to the cover status) that displays both, the current cover status and the cover type (Cover Flow vs. ID3) in the library browser. Green check mark = cover and title are stored in the music file (as ID3 tag). Grey triangle = cover is stored externally. In this case, let the matchmaker, do its work!
Synchronized with iTunes
CoverScout will always be in sync with your iTunes library. Whenever CoverScout opens up, iTunes automatically starts and your album information is loaded. If you are not sure if everything is in sync, just hit Reload and CoverScout is instantly updated.
All in one Window
CoverScout lets you search, filter, display, select and apply Album Covers to your iTunes library all within one window. How much easier can it get?
Artist, Album and Track filter
CoverScout will display and filter your music library by artist and album in the main left window. The tracks for each individual album will be displayed in the main right window. At one glance you get it all.
Artwork Inspector
Once you have made a search, CoverScout will display the 20 best suited covers, with size and album name, in the lower central window in a size that is comfortable for you to make an optimal choice. It not only looks good, it's also amazingly fast!

Multiple Search Resources
With CoverScout, you can search album covers on Amazon.com and Google Images. The result for each artwork search is displayed in the artwork inspector where you can effortlessly pick your favorite covers. Once your choice is made, simply apply it to your selected album. You can even search multiple albums at once.
Single Click Operations
The right-click contextual menu adds some great features to CoverScout. Within the updated contextual menu you can now search for covers, play the selected track in iTunes, reveal the selected track in the finder and even remove the cover for the selected album or track.
Progress Drawer
When doing a search for a cover, CoverScout lists all searches in the Progress Bar, in which you will see the number of covers found for each album. That will always allow you to know the status of your searches.
Size does matter
As an added benefit, CoverScout includes a size slider, which is located between the library browser and the artwork inspector. It allows the possibility to resize the preview size of the artwork found. You can easily make CoverScout fit your needs.
Multiple Resource Search
Amazon and Google Images will give you the best offering for finding ALL the album covers that will illustrate your iTunes library.
Rare Album Search
If you have a classic collector's album which is not available for sale on Amazon or in the iTunes Store, then CoverScout allows you to surf the web to find the jewel cover.
Many albums in just one click!
CoverScout allows you to select many albums in your library and do a one-click album cover search on Amazon. Once you have clicked the search button, all the results will be displayed in the Progress drawer. Simply go through the list and highlight the album covers you want to apply to your iTunes music library.
Find compilation track covers
Some of your albums might be compilations of various artists, like The Best of the 80's, a film soundtrack or even the latest Club Party Mix. You can highlight these albums as "Part of a Compilation" in the Preferences of iTunes. CoverScout gives you the choice to either find the cover for the whole album or the cover for the individual tracks of that album.
Filter your library
Know exactly what covers are complete, incomplete or missing in your album library. CoverScout also provides powerful and flexible filtering by artist, title and album type.
Automatic Bulk Import
CoverScout can automatically apply covers to your iTunes library, without you having to manually do it. So search all your albums, come back later and the job should be done.
Preselect and Apply Album Covers
After doing a Multiple Album search, you can individually hand pick a cover for each album result using the artwork inspector. Once you have preselected one album in each search you can APPLY them all instantly to your iTunes library.
Clipboard
Save covers in the CoverScout Clipboard then apply them to your albums in your iTunes library.
